Agitation Device for vacuum rotary drum filter
The agitation device drives the agitator shaft to rotate via the driving unit, which in turn makes the agitation blades stir the material within the slurry tank of the filter. During the agitation process, the blades continuously push, shear, and disperse the material, creating a circulating flow of the material inside the slurry tank. On one hand, this flow can prevent material sedimentation and maintain the uniformity of the material; on the other hand, it can promote sufficient contact between the solid and liquid phases, thereby enhancing the filtration efficiency.
In a vacuum drum filter, the material to be filtered is usually a suspension containing solid particles. Without agitation, the solid particles tend to settle to the bottom of the slurry tank under the action of gravity, resulting in uneven distribution of the filter cake during the filtration process and affecting the filtration effect. Through continuous agitation, the agitation device enables the solid particles to be uniformly dispersed in the liquid, ensuring the stability and continuity of the filtration process.
