working principle
The core of the vacuum disc drum filter lies in utilizing vacuum negative pressure to drive solid-liquid separation. Through the rotation of the drum, processes such as filtration, drying, and discharge are conducted synchronously and continuously, making it suitable for efficient handling of large-scale slurry.

Filtration Stage
The filter disc immerses in the slurry tank. The vacuum pump creates negative pressure inside the filter plate, drawing liquid through filter cloth to discharge via the distribution valve, while solids retain on its surface to form a filter cake.

Drying Stage
After the filter disc rotates out of the slurry, the vacuum system remains fully operational, continuing to exert suction that draws out residual moisture lingering in the filter cake’s pores, thus further lowering its overall moisture content.

Discharging Stage
As the filter disc rotates to the discharge area, the thoroughly dried filter cake is automatically stripped off cleanly by reverse air blowing or a scraper device, enabling steady and efficient continuous cyclic operation.
