Working Principle

The Ceramic Vacuum Disc Filter operates through multiple zones in concert to achieve cake formation, washing, drying, and unloading and cleaning.

  • Suction slurry area: when working in the slurry diffuse in the filter plate under capillary action combined with vacuum pressure, the surface adsorption into a layer of filter cake, filtrate through the filter plate into the distribution valve to the discharge tank.
  • Drenching zone: After the filter cake is turned out of the slurry hopper, the filter cake is sprayed and washed.
  • Drying zone: the filter cake continues to be dewatered under the action of high vacuum force.
  • Unloading zone: The scraper automatically unloads the cake when it enters the no-vacuum condition.
  • Backwashing: Industrial water or filtrate enters the ceramic plate through the distribution valve to wash from the inside out. Cleaning of clogged micropores. After the ceramic plate has been used for one cycle, ultrasonic wave with low concentration of acid is used to mix and clean the ceramic plate to maintain its efficient use.
