U-bolt pipe clamp for RVDF
U-Bolt Pipe Clamp for RVDF is a pipe fastening fitting specifically designed for rotary vacuum drum filters (RVDFs), consisting of a U-shaped metal bolt and a nut. When paired with a gasket (typically rubber or metal), it secures pipes to the equipment frame or support structure by tightening the nut.
Given that RVDFs are commonly used in corrosive environments (e.g., chemical processing, metallurgy), this clamp is available in two material options:
- Standard grade: Q235 carbon steel with zinc/nickel plating (for rust resistance)
- Corrosion-resistant grade: 304/316 stainless steel (suitable for systems handling acidic/alkaline filtrates)
RVDFs rely on a sealed vacuum piping system (to create negative pressure for solid-liquid separation). This clamp serves three key purposes:
- Pipe Securing: Fastens process pipes (filtrate lines, vacuum lines, wash water lines, etc.) to the RVDF frame, preventing displacement or loosening.
- Seal Integrity: Works with gaskets to minimize gaps caused by equipment vibration, maintaining stable negative pressure in the vacuum system.
- Vibration Adaptation: RVDF operation involves drum rotation and material impact—this clamp provides sufficient clamping force to prevent pipe detachment or leakage under such dynamic conditions.
We offer three sizes (large/medium/small) that fit small-diameter pipes (e.g., 3mm, 4mm) commonly used in RVDFs, and can also accommodate larger main pipelines.
Typical size range: Fits pipe outer diameters from 22mm to 630mm (standard for industrial RVDF piping); bolt shank diameters range from 6mm to 16mm.
For continuously operating industrial equipment like RVDFs, the stability of this clamp directly affects operational efficiency:
- Loose clamps may cause vacuum leaks, reducing filtration performance.
- Corrosion-resistant clamps extend fitting service life and reduce maintenance frequency—critical for harsh environments (e.g., chemical, pharmaceutical processing).
